Remembering Earl Hamner, Jr.

We’re sad to learn that show creator/writer Earl Hamner, Jr. has passed away at the age of 92. Hamner, who is best known as the creator of the much-loved series, The Waltons, grew up in Virginia and went to college at the University of Cincinnati. He began his career in television writing for Today and Wide, Wide World, before becoming a writer on The Twilight Zone. Following the success of The Waltons, he created another hit show, Falcon Crest, and continued to write and produce other television series, including Brewster Place, Apple's Way, and Snowy River: The McGregor Saga.
