We are sad to learn that lighting designer William Klages has passed away at the age of 97. He began his work in the early days of television, on shows including Playwrights ’56, The Perry Como Show, and Kraft Music Hall. He went on to decades of work in television on series, specials with stars like Barbra Streisand and Dolly Parton, as well as major live events. He was the winner of seven Emmy awards and was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2012.
