Remembering Garry Shandling

We’re sad to learn that writer/performer Garry Shandling has passed away at the age of 66. Shandling grew up in Arizona and had an early interest in comedy. He started out as a TV writer, penning scripts for Sanford and Son and Welcome Back Kotter before pursuing stand-up comedy. He frequently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and eventually became a guest-host of the show. He is perhaps best known and beloved for his series It’s Garry Shandling’s Show and The Larry Sanders Show
