Remembering Dick Van Patten
We’re sad to learn of the passing of actor Dick Van Patten, who died on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 of complications from diabetes. He was 86 years old. Van Patten started his acting career as a child, performing on Broadway shows at age seven, and winning his first major TV role in CBS’ I Remember Mama. He’s perhaps best remembered as the patriarch “Tom Bradford” on the sitcom Eight Is Enough, and also made appearances on The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Arrested Development, and Hot in Cleveland.
