Remembering Allan Blye

We’re sad to learn that writer/producer Allan Blye has passed away at the age of 87. Blye began his career in his native Canada, starting out as a performer on Fred Rogers’ early show Misterrogers before going on to be a writer on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. He continued on as a comedy writer and show creator on series and specials including Elvis: The ’68 Comeback Special, The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, The Andy Williams Show, and forming a long-running partnership with Bob Einstein, including developing his character “Super Dave Osborne” and creating the show Super Dave with Einstein.
