The 64th Annual Emmy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, were broadcast live on Sunday, September 23, 2012 on ABC from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The show was produced by Don Mischer. The 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held Saturday, September 15 and produced by Spike Jones, Jr.  The nominations were announced Thursday, July 19 by Kerry Washington and Jimmy Kimmel.
