Daytime/Primetimes serials describe series in which multiple plotlines are carried over from episode to episode. In daytime, these programs are generally referred to as soap operas.
About
“If you look at daytime soaps or nighttime soaps, they all have a little camp in them. The release to do something humorous after everything else is going down the sexual alley or breaking up of the family… humor is badly needed in these shows.” - Aaron Spelling, Producer/Show Creator/Writer
